Few could argue that possibly the noblest calling on earth is that of a mother.  How easy it is to look back and see how God used your mother's kind hand and loving heart to shape who we are today.
 
As Mother's Day approaches and your church or Sunday School class considers how to honor mothers, perhaps you would like to include our beautiful 2009 Mother's Day bulletin inserts.
 
At Tennessee Right to Life, we work every day to assist women facing unplanned pregnancies.  The faithful support of churches and groups across the state enables us to continue reaching out with tangible assistance to these troubled mothers and families.  In addition, we work for protective pro-life legislation and community education. 
 
Many churches enjoy supporting our efforts by participating in our Change to Save Life: Baby Bottle Benefit. It simply involves church members donating loose change in baby bottles, which we supply.  The fundraiser is easy to administer and fun for the congregation.  And there couldn't be a more vital time than now.  The number of expectant mothers considering pregnancy termination increases during difficult economic times.  They need our help now more than ever.

Mother’s Day Bulletin Insert (back)

We celebrate our mother’s love today, and it is appropriate to do so.  She protected us during our most defenseless ages and sustained us through our most awkward times.

In the silent watches of the night, her soothing voice brought comfort.  In times of trouble, her hugs made us feel everything would be alright.  And how often, through our feelings of inadequacy, her encouragement reminded us we are of immeasurable value.

Her children rise up and call her blessed.

Let us bless her by showing our gratitude now more than ever.  Let us bless others by continuing her example of steadfast and unconditional love.  And, let us hold out hope to vulnerable mothers around us that they may have courage to ‘Choose Life’.
